Once you've graduated, the real work starts. We talked to four inspiring alumni, who each paved their own path after finishing their studies at the School of Business and Economics.
Welmoed Rentes - De Nederlandsche Bank
After her master's degree in Economics, alumna Welmoed Rentes decided to work as a trainee at DNB (De Nederlandsche Bank). During her traineeship it soon became clear to her that several positions at DNB suited her. This is what she ultimately chose.
Amna Mirza - Avanade
After studying Business Administration, Amna chose to work at Avanade. She started at the company as an intern and also wrote her master's thesis there. She is now working at the company as a business analyst and has a few tips for starters on the job market.
Joseph Nickisch & Leroy Ranglek - Bamboi
Officially, Joseph and Leroy aren't alumni just quite yet, but they have already set up their own company, Bamboi. Even if Joseph still has to complete his study International Business Administration at VU Amsterdam, they are quickly developing their company which sells sustainable bamboo toilet paper! Marie Mengden - Vrije Universiteit
Business Administration alumna Marie didn't have to look far after her studies; she stayed at VU Amsterdam, but this time as an employee instead of a student. She works for Career Services within SBE and now helps students with their first steps on the job market.
